Sharur Town Mosque

The main mosque of Sharur, a modern building with two slender minarets in a restrained version of the Azerbaijani-Turkish style — a deliberate counterpoint to the older mosques of nearby Yengijar. Built since independence, it serves as the Friday mosque for the town.

It is the most prominent landmark in central Sharur. Visitors are welcome outside prayer times; dress modestly and remove shoes before entering.
