Things to Do

Qusar's appeal is its landscape rather than its monuments. The Shahdag Mountain Resort is the main draw for most visitors — year-round, winter for skiing and summer for hiking — but the surrounding highlands hold genuine rewards for those who explore further. The Khazra Mausoleum, a rare 15th-century Safavid structure in the village of Khazra, is the most significant historical site near the town. The Laza Valley offers waterfalls, alpine meadows, and mountain views, and the Gusarchai Waterfalls are accessible on a half-day excursion from town.
