Bellewaerde is Ypres' big family day out: a theme park, water rides, landscaped grounds, and animal enclosures rolled into one. It sits outside the solemn First World War circuit, which makes it a useful change of pace if you are travelling with children.
The park is seasonal and very much weather-dependent, so check opening days before building plans around it. For most World66 travellers it is a selective stop, but for families staying in West Flanders it can carry a full day.
