Nine Elms British Cemetery is one of the Commonwealth war cemeteries west of Ypres, near Poperinge. More than 1,600 war dead are buried here, most of them from the First World War, with a small number from the Second World War.
It is a quiet stop on a wider Ypres Salient battlefield itinerary. The cemetery is most meaningful when visited alongside the area's trenches, memorials, and larger military cemeteries.
