Una River Rafting

Rafting the Una is the single activity most people come to Bihać to do, and it deserves its reputation. The standard rafting route runs from Lohovo to Martin Brod, covering around 13 kilometres of white-water rapids through a limestone gorge. The water is an extraordinary green-blue, and the canyon walls close in on both sides to create a sense of genuine wilderness just minutes from the town.

Several operators in Bihać run half-day and full-day trips, typically providing equipment and guides. The season runs from late spring through early September, with the best water levels in May and June after the snowmelt. More experienced paddlers can arrange independent routes on more technical sections. Even in summer, the water is cold enough to make a wetsuit advisable.
