Bihać is in the far northwest corner of Bosnia, about 90 kilometres from Zagreb and 300 kilometres from Sarajevo. By car, the most common approach is from Zagreb via the Croatian coastal road, crossing the border at several points; the Bosnian road network in this area is decent. From Sarajevo, the drive is around four hours.
There is a small airport at Bihać Golubić, but regular scheduled services are limited; most visitors fly to Zagreb or Split and drive from there. Buses connect Bihać to Sarajevo and Zagreb, with several services daily. There is no regular passenger rail service.
