Trebinje is a serious cafe town. The plane-tree-shaded Trg Slobode is lined with cafes whose tables stay full from breakfast until late, and the small bars in the old town's stone alleys open in the evening. Drinks are cheap by Western European standards — a beer is 2–3 KM (about €1–1.50), a domestic wine 3–4 KM. Most cafes serve Bosnian coffee, espresso and the occasional cocktail. The evening korzo runs up and down the square from about 8pm; expect to bump into half the town.
