Draga Bašćanska

Draga Bašćanska is a small village in the Bašćanska Draga valley, about four kilometres inland from Baška on the road to Krk Town. The setting is the appeal: a green oasis of vineyards, olive groves, and dry-stone walls running up the limestone hillsides, with a small parish church (St John the Baptist) at its heart.

The village is the starting point for several marked hiking trails up into the karst, and a couple of agritourism konobas serve homemade wine and lamb peka under the chestnut trees. It makes a pleasant afternoon's stroll from Baška if you've had enough of the beach.
