Krk is the most accessible Croatian island. The Krk Bridge — a graceful concrete arch built in 1980 — links the north of the island directly to the mainland near Rijeka, so getting to Baška means simply driving south for about an hour from the bridge along the island's main road.
The nearest airport is Rijeka (RJK), on the neighbouring island of Krk itself just north of the bridge — about 45 minutes by car. Pula, Zagreb, and Zadar airports are all within a three-hour drive. Buses run from Rijeka and Krk Town to Baška several times a day in summer. There are no scheduled ferries direct to Baška; the small harbour serves mostly local boat trips and the seasonal catamaran to Lopar on Rab.
