The Shrine of Our Lady of Gorica sits above the village of Batomalj, three kilometres west of Baška, on a low rocky outcrop with views back across the Bašćanska Draga valley. It has been a Marian pilgrimage site for centuries and is the religious heart of the Baška area — Krk's annual pilgrimages converge here on the Marian feast days in August and September.
The current church is largely 18th-century and modest in scale, with a barrel-vaulted nave and a small votive collection inside. The walk up from Batomalj village takes ten minutes and the view at the top, looking across vineyards toward the sea, is the best reason to come outside pilgrimage days.
