Komarna's small harbour and the gravel beach beside it are the centre of village life, such as it is — a handful of fishing boats, a couple of café-bars on the seafront, and a swimming area sheltered from the open Adriatic by the curve of the bay.
The water is exceptionally clear. The view across to the wooded ridges of Pelješac and up to the cables of the bridge is the calmest in the area. A few small motorboats can be rented from the harbour by the day, useful for crossing to the oyster farms or rounding the peninsula to the open-sea beaches at the south end of the bay.
