Kraljevica's small old town is dominated by the two Frankopan castles above the harbour. A short coastal walk takes in both, the working shipyard, and the modest waterfront. The town is mostly a quiet base; the real day trips are out to the Krk Bridge and across to Krk island, up the coast to Opatija, or into Rijeka.
