Pula has good small restaurants at reasonable prices by Western European standards. The local Istrian cuisine is excellent — heavy on truffles, olive oil, seafood, and slow-cooked meats. Fuži (pasta tubes with truffle sauce) is the dish to order anywhere that has a serious kitchen.
