Getting There

The nearest airport is Pula (PUY), about 40 kilometres south of Rovinj. Taxis and private transfers take around 40 minutes; local buses connect Pula bus station with Rovinj several times a day.

By bus from Zagreb, the journey takes around three to four hours depending on the route. Several companies run direct services, with more frequent connections in summer. From Pula, buses to Rovinj run roughly every hour and take about 45 minutes.

By car from Zagreb, take the A1 motorway south then the Istria Y (A8/A9) towards Pula, exiting at Kanfanar or Bale for Rovinj. The drive is about 280 kilometres and takes around three hours.

In summer, ferry services from Venice connect to Rovinj and other Istrian ports. The crossing takes around three hours and is scenic. Operators include Venezia Lines and Kompas; check schedules as they change seasonally.
