Zadar's bar scene is concentrated in the old town. Maraschino — the bitter cherry liqueur invented here in the 16th century by Dominican monks — is still made in Zadar by the firm Maraska, and a glass over ice at one of the old-town bars is the local rite of passage.
The waterfront cafés near the Sea Organ are the obvious choice at sunset; the old town's interior streets have plenty of quieter alternatives.
