The largest Baroque sculpture in Central Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The column was built between 1716 and 1754 to commemorate the end of a plague epidemic. It rises 35 metres and is covered in gilt figures, with a chapel at the base. It dominates Horní náměstí and is the obvious landmark to orient yourself around.
