Aarhus Botanical Gardens

Aarhus Botanical Gardens began in the 19th century as a university research garden and now works just as well as a public park. The grounds spread over hilly lawns, ponds, and planted beds, with thousands of labelled species for anyone who wants to look more closely.

The Greenhouses are the main draw, especially outside summer. They move from Mediterranean plants to tropical rooms, and the cafe makes the gardens an easy break between Den Gamle By and the city centre.
