Aarhus has a disproportionately good nightlife for its size, driven by the large student population. The area around Aaboulevarden along the river is the main strip for outdoor drinking in summer, while the side streets off Skolegade and Mejlgade hide more intimate bars and cafes. The city also has a strong live music scene and a handful of clubs that keep going late.
