Bæst is a wood-fired pizza and charcuterie restaurant in the Meatpacking District that makes almost everything in-house: the mozzarella is made daily, the cured meats are produced in the basement, and the flour is stoneground. The result is some of the most carefully sourced pizza available in Scandinavia, in a large, lively room with an open kitchen and a view of the wood-fired oven.
The menu extends beyond pizza to simple Italian-influenced dishes — vegetables, antipasti, pasta. The wine list is Italian-leaning and reasonably priced. One of the most consistent restaurants in the Meatpacking District and reliably busy; book a few days ahead.
