Copenhagen's location on the northeast coast of Zealand puts several worthwhile destinations within easy reach by train. The castles north of the city are the main draw: Kronborg at Helsingor (Shakespeare's Elsinore), Frederiksborg at Hillerod, and the cathedral and Viking Ship Museum at Roskilde. All three are under an hour by train. The fishing village of Dragor, about 14 km south, offers preserved buildings and views across to Sweden. For a cross-border trip, Malmo in Sweden is just 35 minutes across the Oresund Bridge.
