Jazzhouse on Niels Hemmingsens Gade is Copenhagen's main dedicated jazz club, with live music most nights from around 8pm. The Danish jazz scene is genuinely strong — the country produces an outsized number of respected jazz musicians relative to its size, partly due to the music conservatory system and partly due to venues like Jazzhouse that provide a consistent stage. The Monday night sessions are cheaper and often feature interesting local players. Booking is recommended for name acts; walk-ins are usually possible on weekdays.
