Rønne is where most of Bornholm's restaurants live, and the standard is high for a town of 13,000 people — partly because Bornholm has been on a slow but real food upswing, with several Michelin-recommended places spread around the island. Smoked herring, new potatoes with dill, and skipperlabskovs (a sailor's beef-and-potato stew) are the local classics. The harbour cluster has the most options, including a couple of fish smokehouses with attached cafes.
