Four kilometres west of the village, the small marina at Lohusalu is the main yachting harbour on this stretch of coast. The harbour is sheltered behind a long stone breakwater and houses both a fishing fleet and around 100 berths for sailing boats. The simple harbour café serves smoked fish and beer to skippers and walkers from late spring through September.
A short walking trail loops out along the breakwater and the rocky cape beyond — about an hour at an easy pace, mostly across coastal meadow with views back across the bay to Laulasmaa. The cape is a known birdwatching spot, especially during the spring and autumn migrations when great skuas and the occasional white-tailed eagle pass through. The marina runs occasional sailing trips for visitors in summer; ask at the harbourmaster's office.
