Leib Resto ja Aed

Garden restaurant in the Old Town with Estonian seasonal cooking

Leib ("Bread") is one of the better restaurant options within the Old Town itself, which is a category with more competition than quality. The menu centres on Estonian seasonal ingredients — wild game, foraged greens, Baltic fish, black rye bread — prepared with modern technique but without the tendency toward molecular theatrics that afflicts some Estonian fine dining.

The outdoor garden at the back, open from spring through autumn, is one of the nicest places in the Old Town to eat in warm weather. The lunch menu offers good value; the dinner menu is more considered and more expensive.
