Miðvágur's main draw is its position as the trailhead for the Leitisvatn lake hike, one of the most photographed walks in the Faroes. The Dúgvan War Museum is compact but genuinely interesting, and the road west opens up Gásadalur and the Bøsdalafossur waterfall with almost no effort.
