Niskanperä Bird Watching Tower stands by the Kemijoki River southeast of Rovaniemi. It is an easy place to look for waders and other river birds, with the best variety during the spring and autumn migration seasons.
The tower is reachable by car or bicycle from Highway 4 via Niskanperäntie, with parking close by. The viewing platform is reached by narrow stairs, so it is a quick stop rather than a full nature reserve visit.
