Kupittaanpuisto

Kupittaanpuisto is Turku's largest and oldest city park, a broad green space east of the centre with lawns, paths, a bird pond, sports areas, playgrounds, and summer swimming. It is especially useful for families, with traffic-city play areas and enough space for children to run around without turning the day into a museum march.

For most visitors it is not the first thing to see in Turku, but it is a good breather after the cathedral and riverfront. In winter it shifts toward skating and indoor sport; in summer it is made for picnics.
