Kuralan Kylämäki

Living-history village where Turku's rural past is shown through old farms and hands-on workshops

Kuralan Kylämäki is a living-history village on the eastern side of Turku, built around four old farmsteads on their original sites. The focus is everyday rural life in southwest Finland, especially the 1950s, with period rooms, farm tasks, craft workshops, and spaces where children can touch and try things rather than just look.

In summer the village feels most alive, with demonstrations of cooking, dairy work, haymaking, weaving, and other seasonal chores. There is also an experimental archaeology workshop, open year-round, where children can test prehistoric tools and hunting methods.
