Qwensel House is the oldest surviving bourgeois house in Turku, built around 1700 in a part of town once reserved for the nobility. Its shop wing has been furnished as a 19th-century pharmacy, with a material room, herb room, laboratories, office, and Finland's oldest surviving pharmacy interior.
The museum is small but atmospheric, especially in summer when the courtyard cafe opens among the old outbuildings. It works well as a slower historical stop between the Aura riverfront and Turku's larger museums.
