Olympic Ski Jumps at Le Praz

The towering ski jumps above Le Praz were built for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics and remain the dominant landmark of the lower village. There are four jumps, from K-25 up to the K-120 — that last number is the distance at which competitive jumpers land. They are visible from the road as you arrive in Courchevel and the scale is genuinely intimidating up close.

In summer the jumps host professional and junior training sessions where athletes land on plastic matting. You can usually walk up to the base and to one of the viewing terraces — check at the Le Praz tourist office for training schedules and the occasional public summer competition.
