Lyon has four metro lines, five tram lines and an extensive bus network, all run by TCL on the same ticket. The central city is compact and flat — most visitors walk — but the steep hills of Fourvière and Croix-Rousse are best reached by funicular (Fourvière) or metro. The Vélo'v bike-share system has hundreds of stations across the city.
