Mur des Lyonnais is a large trompe-l'oeil mural celebrating people associated with Lyon, from Renaissance writer Louise Labe to the Lumiere brothers and chef Paul Bocuse. It is one of the city's best-known painted walls.
The mural is an easy detour between the Presqu'ile, the Saone, and the lower slopes of Croix-Rousse. It works best as a short stop on a walk rather than as a destination by itself.
