Getting There

Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport (EGC), five kilometres east of the town centre, has summer flights from a handful of UK and Belgian cities — useful for visitors heading directly to the Dordogne without changing planes. The runway is short and the carriers (mostly Ryanair, Flybe successors, and seasonal charters) come and go, so check current routes before counting on a direct flight.

By train, Bergerac sits on the line from Bordeaux to Sarlat. Bordeaux is about 90 minutes away, with a handful of TER regional trains a day. The TGV from Paris to Bordeaux, followed by a regional connection, can get you here in under five hours.

By car, Bergerac is on the D936 between Bordeaux (100 km) and Sarlat (75 km). The nearest motorway exits are on the A89 to the north.
