Cave du Château occupies the barrel-vaulted cellars of one of the old Chartrons merchant properties — stone walls, candlelight, the faint smell of ageing wood. The space is used for structured wine tastings and more informal sessions focused on specific appellations or producers.
The tastings here are more theatrical than the Bar à Vin's functional approach, which suits a different mood. The stone vaults are architecturally interesting in themselves. Booking is recommended for the formal sessions; walk-ins can usually get a glass and a board at quieter times.
