Bordeaux-Merignac airport has connections to major European cities. The JetBus shuttle links the airport to the city centre every 45 minutes, stopping at Place Gambetta and Gare Saint-Jean. The ride costs around 8 euros.
Gare Saint-Jean is the main railway station. The TGV from Paris Montparnasse takes about three and a half hours. There are also direct trains to Toulouse, Lyon, and Nantes. The station is a short tram ride south of the city centre.
