This quiet glacial lake sits about a kilometre south of Lormes, tucked into the trees at the bottom of the Narvau gorge. It was designated one of the seven major lakes of the Morvan Regional Natural Park in 2010, which brought it to wider attention without spoiling its calm.
A small campsite with clean facilities sits on the bank — useful if the municipal site in town is full. The lake itself is good for a swim in summer, and a marked path connects it back to the gorge trail and the town centre. There are usually a handful of anglers on the bank regardless of the season; the Morvan lakes are known for pike, perch, and bream.
