Getting Around

The old town is small. From the station to the cathedral is a 15-minute walk; from the cathedral to the Palais Jacques-Coeur, five minutes. There is no reason to drive once you are inside the ring of boulevards.

City buses cover the suburbs but visitors rarely need them. Most parking around the centre is paid and limited; the easiest approach by car is to park near the Halle Saint-Bonnet or along the boulevards and walk in.

The marshes east of the cathedral are best explored on foot along the towpaths, or by hiring a punt in season.
