A 1920s Art Deco public garden on the north edge of the old town, laid out on what had been a flood meadow. It is a notable piece of inter-war landscape design — geometric layout, clipped hedges, a long reflecting pool, and an outdoor theatre still used for summer concerts.
The garden is on the route between the railway station and the old town, which makes it a pleasant way to walk in if you arrive by train.
