Calvi Beach

A long crescent of fine pale sand stretches east from the harbour for about six kilometres, backed by umbrella pines and the Calvi-Bastia rail line that runs alongside. The water is shallow well out from shore, ideal for children, and a startling Adriatic blue.

The town end is busy and well served with beach restaurants and rentals. As you walk east the crowds thin; the very far end, near the village of Calenzana, is almost empty even in August.
