Punta della Revellata

The Revellata peninsula juts west from Calvi, ending in a 19th-century lighthouse on a rocky point. It's a 6 km walk or short drive from town through scrubland that is fragrant with maquis — myrtle, juniper, helichrysum.

Around the lighthouse the shore drops away to clear water full of fish, and the snorkelling is among the best around Calvi. The Stareso oceanographic research station, founded in 1972, is also out here.
