Wayne's is the loudest and most reliably packed bar in Vieux Nice, a favourite with the city's Anglophone expat community and international visitors. It occupies a prime corner on Rue de la Préfecture and spills onto the street on warm evenings. Live music most nights, a wide selection of international beers and cocktails, and a crowd that starts at late-20s and tilts young.
If you want a quiet conversation, this is not the place — the music is loud and the room fills by 9pm. If you want to meet people, it works extremely well. The bar has been here for decades and has a well-organised feel to it; staff are used to managing busy crowds without drama.
