Albi has two railway stations: Albi-Ville in the city centre and Albi-Madeleine on the north side of town, both served by TER regional trains. The most useful connection is to Toulouse, about 75 kilometres to the southwest, with trains running several times daily and taking around an hour. There are also connections to Castres.
By car, Albi is on the D988/N88 road and about 75 kilometres northeast of Toulouse. The drive from Toulouse takes just over an hour. There is no direct motorway.
