Albi is compact enough that the main sights can be covered in a day, though the cathedral and the Toulouse-Lautrec museum each deserve two to three hours of your time if you are genuinely engaged. The old town's streets between the cathedral and the Tarn are good for a slow hour's walk, and the views from the bishop's gardens and the Vieux Pont are outstanding.
