Le Pontil is the most central restaurant in St-Pons, situated near the cathedral square in a stone building that has been a place to eat for decades. The menu follows the seasons and leans traditional: duck confit, wild boar stew in autumn and winter, and lighter grilled fish dishes in summer when the terrace fills up. The house wine is poured from a large carafe and is perfectly decent. It is the kind of place where locals eat and visitors are welcomed without fuss.
