Toulouse is Europe's aerospace capital — Airbus, Airbus Defence and Space, and the European Space Agency's operations centre are all based here — and the Cité de l'Espace is the city's monument to that identity. In the outdoor park stands a full-scale replica of an Ariane 5 rocket and a genuine Mir space station module you can walk through. Inside, planetarium shows, a space shuttle mock-up, Mars rover simulations, and interactive exhibits make this one of the best science parks in France. Allow at least half a day. Located on the eastern edge of the city; easiest to reach by car or taxi.
