By air. Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) is 8 km northwest of the city centre. It has direct flights to most major European cities and regular connections to North Africa. The Navette Aéroport shuttle bus runs to Toulouse-Matabiau station every 20 minutes (journey time 20–25 minutes, around €10). Taxis cost approximately €25–35 to the centre.
By train. Toulouse-Matabiau is the main rail hub. High-speed TGVs connect directly to Paris Montparnasse (4h20), Bordeaux (2h), Lyon (3h), and Marseille (4h). Carcassonne (50 min) and Montauban (25 min) are served by regular regional trains.
By car. The A61 motorway links Toulouse to Carcassonne and Narbonne (Mediterranean coast) heading east, and to Bordeaux via the A62 heading northwest. The A64 runs southwest toward the Pyrenees and Spain via the Bayonne corridor. The A20 heads north toward Paris via Montauban and Brive.
By bus. Flixbus and BlaBlaCar Bus serve Toulouse from Paris, Barcelona, and many regional cities; journeys are slower than the train but cheaper.
