Halle de la Machine is where Toulouse turns engineering into street theatre. The huge hall shelters mechanical creatures built by La Machine, including the Minotaur and other moving beasts that look part carnival float, part industrial dream.
The pleasure is seeing the mechanisms work, not just looking at them parked. Demonstrations, machine rides, and performances give the place a different rhythm from a conventional museum, and the setting on the former Montaudran aviation site ties it neatly to Toulouse's mechanical imagination.
