Place Victor Hugo is an octagonal square in the lower town of Arras, ringed by old stone houses and centred on an obelisk fountain. It is quieter than the grand Flemish-Baroque squares in the centre, but worth the short walk if you enjoy Arras's urban fabric as much as its headline sights.
