Lille has two TGV stations 300 metres apart. Lille-Europe is the Eurostar and international TGV hub; Lille-Flandres handles domestic TGV services and regional trains. The journey times are exceptional: Paris Gare du Nord is 1 hour; London St Pancras is 80 minutes via Eurostar (no change in Brussels); Brussels Midi is 35 minutes.
By car, Lille sits at the junction of the A1 (Paris), A25 (Dunkerque and the coast), and A27/E17 (Ghent and Antwerp). The Belgian border is 10 kilometres northeast of the city. Parking in the city centre is limited but park-and-ride options exist at several metro stations.
There is no significant airport at Lille itself — the nearest international airport is Brussels Airport (1 hour by car or direct train from Lille-Europe). Eurostar connections make flying from London largely pointless for most travellers.
