Things to Do

The cliffs are the entire reason to come, and they are spectacular: three natural arches — Porte d'Aval, Manneporte, and Porte d'Amont — and a 70-metre needle of chalk standing in the sea. Walk the clifftops in both directions, drop down to the pebble beach at low tide to look up at the arches from below, and visit the eccentric topiary gardens above the western cliff. The market hall, the war memorial in the church, and the villa where Maurice Leblanc invented Arsène Lupin round out a half-day or full-day visit.
